The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has signed the Football World Heritage pledge, an official organization led by Rani Vanouska T. Modely, in support of the initiative to list football as a UNESCO World Heritage. This initiative, supported by S.E Altay Cengizer, President of the 40th UNESCO General Conference, as well as an international committee of experts and personalities, aims to bring together the 211 FIFA states to honor football in the hearts of the 4.8 billion fans on the planet.

Football World Heritage and Rani Vanouska T. Modely has launched a call to the TOP 100 football World leaders, a list of the most influential personalities in football published by Forbes magazine, to support this initiative. Prime Minister Rama responded to this call by signing the pledge, committing to support this cause that aims to use football as a peace vector to support United Nations programs.

By accepting to sign this pledge, Prime Minister Rama has committed to supporting Football World Heritage’s OneChildOneSmile initiative, which aims to provide a ball to the most disadvantaged children on the streets of Albania. Rani Vanouska T. Modely, as the head of the organization, met with the Albanian Prime Minister during an official visit to the country to discuss this initiative and its goals.

“Football is a sport that brings people from all countries together and is deeply rooted in Albanian culture. I decided to support this initiative of Football World Heritage because I believe in its ability to use football as a peace vector and to promote the importance of physical exercise and healthy lifestyle habits,” said Prime Minister Rama.

“We are pleased that Prime Minister Rama has decided to support our initiative to list football as a UNESCO World Heritage. We believe that football can be a powerful vector of positive change in the world and we are excited to work with him and other football leaders to achieve our goal,” said Rani Vanouska T. Modely, head of Football World Heritage.
