SuperStar Karate Empowers Over 10,000 Kids Through Martial Arts

SuperStar Karate has been helping kids for over 17 years become more respectful, confident, focused, and fit through purpose-driven martial arts program.

Jason Kifer opened SuperStar Karate 17 years ago to impact the lives of 10,000 kids in the Carol Stream community, helping them become better versions of themselves. This stems from the mental health challenges Kifer saw children face daily. He turned to martial arts to help develop their character and positively impact their mental health.

“Kids are in a constant process of self-discovery. They need people who can help and support them to become the person they want to be,” says Kifer.

“Our goal at SuperStar is to empower every student to see themselves achieving greatness so they can become the future inventors, entrepreneurs, and champions we know they can be.”

At SuperStar Karate, students learn how to utilize kaizen (Japanese for constant improvement) and positive self-talk. Students are also taught about the tenacity to learn through failure and push past negativity to succeed in making their goals and dreams come true.

Parents have noticed a boost in confidence, a positive self-image, and better physical fitness in their kids after enrolling at SuperStar Karate. They also noticed an improvement in their focus, listening skills, and grades.

SuperStar Karate has its sights on a much bigger goal now that it has reached its goal of empowering 10,000 children. The next goal is 50,000, and Kifer is already taking steps to make that happen.
